I set up this blog to chronicle the changes I made to a 1997 Honda Shadow VLX 600 motorcycle.
I have not yet reached the true bobber state, but it's a work in progress.

For now, I have removed the dual carbs, and created a copper manifold utilizing a single carb.
I re-used the OEM rear cylinder Keihin CV carb for this project, and it seems to work but I can't get good anything close to equal fuel distribution.

I also removed the fuel pump, and ran the fuel hose straight from the tank to the carb (gravity fed).
To make the carb  fit in this position, I had to raise the tank a few inches using a custom made spacer.
It also has custom made 10" z bars.

Here are a few shots of the completed project:

Carb is angled as it was in the original position. I found that it would not work well if it was set perfectly vertical such as other single carb set-ups.

Wide shot...
Shot from above, you can see both 90 elbows and the Tee made from copper.
